It’s Halloween night, and I figure there’s no better time to announce the spookiest thing I’ve done in years…
…I quit my job this month!
Art is now going to be my full time job. I’m beyond scared, but considering my (good) life circumstances right now, this is my best chance to try. This is what I’ve wanted to do since I was a little kid, and I’m going to give it my best shot. Even if I fail hard I have plenty of savings and a loving family to back me up. But hopefully I won’t fail too hard… or at all.
Those who remember the Alterity announcement earlier this year: when I said I needed to find more time, this is what I meant. I now have the time, and I’m going to try to do Fancomic Friday every week and hopefully release Alterity pages on the weekend. We’ll see how it goes.
I’m going to open commissions next week (click here to get an idea of pricing; still not sure how to price things like Pokemon team portraits but it’ll likely come at a discount) and as always, my online store can be found here. I only sell original work in my store, but you can commission me for whatever you want as long as it’s SFW and not outrageously controversial.
I’m super super excited to see what the future holds!! Thank you to everyone for all your support over the years that has helped make this venture into a viable option.
Also, a belated thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday. September and October have been a whirlwind. Life circumstances are overall good but the last months were rough!
