On November 15th, 2005, a user named ‘Sinnfinity’ stopped by my Gaia Online art thread to bribe me for a kitty picture. Unbeknownst to both of us, that fateful commission was the start of an eight-year-long adventure of endless IM chats, day-long Greyhound bus trips, crazy ex-girlfriends, and continent-spanning long-distance relationships. Today, we share an apartment, work on creative projects together, and go out on the town wearing matching silly cosplay hats.
Moral of the story: treat your customers nicely. You’ll never know what could happen.
